Dedicated To Winning – That’s the Justice You Deserve
Injuries from auto collisions and medical errors occur before you understand the legal and medical issues you or a loved one are about to face. Your injuries can disrupt your life, costly hospital bills and other medical expenses often continue for years, and you may be caring for a loved one, alone. Understanding your needs and knowing your rights is the place to begin. Schefman & Associates will guide you through both.
You may have multiple insurances and have difficulty understanding who should pay or how much to pay. You may have co-pays or deductibles in one health plan and limited or unlimited benefits in another. And if your own insurer doesn’t pay the bills as it should or denies payment for the care needed, that can compound your ability to manage your work, medical care and your life. Don’t let these issues become an unfair burden on you and your family.
At Schefman & Associates, we are dedicated to helping our clients; we help you figure out the insurance maze, we sort out who is responsible for your injuries and the aftermath, and we win the damages that you are entitled to, for the wrongful death of a loved one, a brain injury or other serious injuries caused by medical malpractice. We work closely with you during your most challenging time to protect you, answer your questions, help you get needed medical care and get it paid for, and secure the compensation you are entitled to.
With several decades of experience in representing injured people, doctors, and insurance companies, Schefman & Associates has recovered tens of millions of dollars for our clients. We are one of Michigan’s most prominent personal injury firms in automobile injury, medical malpractice, and insurance recovery because we are able to combine our experience and knowledge to offer a synchronized team effort to help you. Our founding attorney and lead trial lawyer, Bryan Schefman, applies over 40 years of experience in representing injured clients, medical providers, and insurance companies to protect your rights and protect you and your family.

Helping The Wrongfully Injured Get Just Compensation For Medical Malpractice, Car Accident Claims And Other Types Of Personal Injury Cases
After many years representing doctors and health insurance companies, our founding attorney, Bryan Schefman, launched Schefman & Associates and began representing those who were wrongfully injured. Our clients benefit from the knowledge and experience of a lead litigator with comprehensive knowledge of the medical issues and how the insurance industry works to fight against you. Our legal team will guide you through all of the conflicts of insurances and the rights of the insurers, as well as address your past, current, and future expenses that clients face as a result of someone else’s negligence.
Put Our Legal Team's Combined Knowledge To Work For You
Whether you are injured in a collision, or a physician or medical group trying to get paid for your services, you are frequently contending with insurance companies for claim payments or reimbursements. Medical professionals stand to lose significant revenue without aggressive representation of their own interests, when an insurance company wrongfully denies or delays payment of a claim or reduces the percent of the reimbursement. As a founder of a statewide Medicaid managed care plan, Mr. Schefman gained a comprehensive knowledge of the interplay of insurance coverage and payment disputes. Whether the issue concerns benefits coordination, subrogation liens of health or ERISA coverage, Medicare, or no-fault insurance, we can help protect you and get your claims paid.
Let Our Experience Work In Your Favor
Our firm has a reputation for helping you figure it all out and getting you through the process so we can achieve optimal outcomes together. Precedent-Setting Decision Helps Firm Collect Millions Of Dollars For Medical Providers
Attorney Bryan L. Schefman won a precedent-setting decision in the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals (Case No. 13-2430, Decided July 16, 2014). The ruling gave medical providers the right to pursue a private cause of action under federal Medicare law from a responsible primary plan, such as a no-fault carrier, including the payment of full charges and double damages of the Medicare payment. This case has helped Schefman & Associates collect millions of dollars for our doctors.
